The Deco House - also known as “The Pride of Ahangama” is quietly located in the village of Digeradda, in the small town of Ahangama. Everyday life passes by, and you automatically get a feeling of becoming a part of the Sri Lankan way of living. A walk through the village, takes you over the paddy, into the world of temples and untouched sceneries, and in less than 10 minutes, to the beautiful and picturesque beaches of the south.
The Deco House is one of a kind. The villa was designed by a British architect in the late fifties, and was built by a local family. Today the villa has been gently renovated. Nothing much has been changed, but a few things has been added, just to provide the guests with the maximum comfort, as well as the demanded privacy.
The villa is let by-the-room (with the option to rent the whole property, availability permitting). In total the Deco House can accommodate fifteen guests, we also have two baby cots for babies/toddlers.
In the main villa you will find:
Family Suite - up to 4 guests in an ensuite bedroom with 1 king, 1 queen
The Chamber - up to 2 guests in an ensuite double bedroom
The Loft - up to 2 guests in an ensuite double bedroom
Above the main villa and with a large private garden is:
Garden House - up to 4 guests in two interconnected bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed. They share an "inside-outside" bathroom which is accessed though the first bedroom.
At the other end of the property, beyond the pool is:
The Cottage - up to 3 guests in a mezzanine double bedroom (accessed via a spiral staircase) and a living room with single sofa bed. There is a large "inside-outside" bathroom.
All Deco House guests have shared use of the main garden, pool and Pool Pavilion which together provide multiple options for relaxing/lounging/soaking up the rays. Breakfast (additional charge) is served daily in the Pool Pavilion. There’s a little drinks station behind the wall in the Pool Pavilion with tea, coffee for you to make and cool water - all free of charge
