Located in the gardens of the Haldummulla Estate Bungalow, the Library Suite is a stylish addition to the accommodation at Haldummulla Estate. Simply but elegantly furnished with French antiques, the self-contained suite has a king-size double bed in a spacious, book-lined, open-plan living area with an open fire, a dressing room and a large bathroom. There is a daybed in the dressing room which may be occupied by a child. The large veranda has breathtaking views across to the Southern Plains and has a dining table for al fresco eating.
Our lovely local housekeeper, Priya, will help look after you during your stay. Wonderful aromatic curries are always simmering in her little kitchen. For more exotic western fare you are welcome to help her to prepare; she loves to learn new dishes. If you want to spend a whole day out sightseeing or trekking, we can pack a picnic lunch for you to take with you.
Because of the Estate’s remote location, the Library Suite is offered on a full-board basis – breakfast, lunch and dinner. When you book we will work out a meal plan for you and Priya will shop accordingly.
If you are staying for a few days why not lend a hand and try making your own tea? If you enquire in advance we can try to give you our Tea Experience (subject to seasonality) which involves a couple of hours in the morning plucking the tea with our ladies and then rolling your own batch the next morning. What could be more satisfying than leaving with some very fine tea that you made yourself? The experience is free though you do have to pay for any tea you buy even if you roll it yourself!
Pricing at Haldummulla is based on guest numbers. The base rate is for two guests.
The suite may be booked on its own or together with the main bungalow to provide accommodation for a total of up to ten guests (six adults maximum).
